Join us for the 2025 Day of Caring on Friday, September 12!
Every year, United Way Western Maine brings together hundreds of volunteers for a day of giving back through volunteerism. Day of Caring is a community-wide effort that brings together volunteers from local businesses to provide short-term, project-focused volunteer service to our community's local nonprofit and public organizations. Volunteerism is an important part of the work that United Way of Western Maine promotes, and we are proud of the way our Day of Caring is popular with both agencies who need help and business volunteers who embrace the opportunity to give back.
The day begins at 7:30am with the Campaign Kick-Off Breakfast at the Hilton Garden Inn Auburn Riverwatch. At 9:30am, after breakfast, volunteers head off to their assignments, which typically include outdoor grounds maintenance, painting, deep cleaning, and more.
